Meet with us today as Pastor David teaches on prayer - praying in every circumstance, persevering in prayer, learning to be still so we can hear God in the busyness of life, and continuing to pray faithfully for one another.

As the Be Real Bible Series comes to an end, 1 John 5:13-21 reminds us that although the world is filled with confusion, we can live in the blessed assurance of our eternal standing with God, knowing that Jesus is the Son of God and that we are saved, He is for us and the blood of Jesus covers and upholds us all.

Celebrate with us as we gather to hear testimonies of God at work and witness believers publicly declare their faith through baptism.

This week, we turn to 1 John 5:1-12, reflecting on John’s unwavering commitment to the truth. He reminds us that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ is born again, that love leads us to obey His commands, and that through Christ we become overcomers of the world.

This week we are in 1 John 4:11-21 where we remember God calls us to love one another and that the Spirit grows this love in us as we walk closely with Him. God’s life-changing love transforms us as we abide in Him, shaping our character to reflect His. His perfect love drives out fear; only what is done in obedience and through the Spirit’s love will endure.

Guest pastor Chris Withers joins us this week as we explore 1 John 4:1-3 in our Be Real series. John reminds us how vital it is to truly know who Jesus is, because the enemy works subtly and often through what feels “almost right.” The clearer our understanding of Jesus, the easier it becomes to recognise his voice and discern what is genuinely from him.

This week in 1 John 3:1-10, our pastor Ruari shows how humanity is divided into two families - the children of God and the children of the world - and encourages us to be real about sin and salvation, to be real about righteousness, and to be real about who our Father truly is and our relationship with Him.

This week, guest pastor Chris Withers helps us explore the meaning of baptism as an outward expression of our faith in Jesus - a call to repent and be baptised. We turn to Acts 2:37-41, where we see baptism is a symbol of God’s mercy and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit. We also tackle challenging questions around infant baptism and feeling unworthy of being baptised.

In sermon 5 of our Be Real Bible Series, we turn to 1 John 2:18-29, where John warns the church about those who seek to deceive believers. He cautions us to stay alert to people who appear genuine but promote their own “truth” and offer revelation that does not align with Scripture. These individuals have abandoned the faith and stand spiritually far from the church. John reminds us that the human heart is deceitful, so every action, decision and word must be measured against the authority of God’s Word.
