EMBC COVID-19 update

We are all going through some unprecedented times at the moment. COVID-19 is spreading rapidly throughout the UK and wider world prompting changes in the way we would normally go about our daily lives, this isn't business as usual.

We are suspending all EMBC gatherings big and small, including our Sunday service for the foreseeable future. We will be posting weekly updates and messages from the pastors on the website here, and on our Facebook page:*F

What can you do?

Live out the spiritual rhythms we have been looking at as a church family. Sabbath, fasting, silence, solitude and community. Stay rooted in the truth of God's word, we have been given a spirit of power, love and self discipline not a spirit of fear 2 Timothy 1:7.

Pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Prayer is one of our greatest weapons in times of trial. Continue to pray for the world, those in government, our church family especially the isolated, sick and vulnerable.

Look out for the needs of others, Philippians 2:4. Check in on each other over the phone/facetime, especially those isolated. If you have symptoms (fever, new continuous cough, breathless) or are concerned about your exposure to the virus, isolate yourself and get in touch with your closest medical centre and follow their advice.

We are putting together a volunteer team to help with shopping of those isolated and vulnerable. Are you well and able to help? Phone the church office: 01355 249672 or email Mary in church office:

Thank you for your continued prayers and support, throughout all this and in all seasons we are still God's family. In all of this we want to love and honour each other that God would be glorified. Romans 12:10, Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honouring each other.
